As Pagans, many of us worship the Earth or Earth-centered deities. Even if our particular pantheons don't have specific Earth Deities, we have a duty to protect this planet and ensure the survival of our descendants and the amazing diversity of the Biosphere.Join Northern California's mobilization march and rally to demand of the U.S. delegation to the United Nations Conference of Parties in Paris (COP21) a global agreement to implement dramatic and rapid reduction in global warming pollution. We'll assemble at the Lake Merritt Amphitheatre at 10:30 am -- rain or shine -- and march at noon to Frank Ogawa/Oscar Grant Plaza in front of Oakland's City Hall. A rally at 1:00 pm will follow the march. Performers, speakers, tabling, activities for kids, and a speakers tent will fill the afternoon; the event will end at 5:00 pm.Glenn Turner has suggested that we as a Pagan community rally together in our own faction for the climate march. She has suggested that we meet up in the East Side of the Amphitheater. Contact Travis for details, 941-266-9665.
